Merchandising Week 2, Day 7!

It's been a while since we actually had a real, honest-to-goodness PUNCH!

Close Hitler before striking.

Tell me you didn't miss that. I dare you.

Oh, and that's a matchbook, in case you're wondering. I'd take up smoking for that.

Both Olaf and Ali sent this to me. Thanks for being on the same punchtastic page, guys!

Merchandising Week 2, Day 6!

Sometimes, it's good to be President.

Adolf Benedicto Pacifico Juan Maria Schicklgruber (Better known as 'The Rat')...
According to this website:

"Jesse Jones, Secretary of Commerce from 1941 to 1945, gave this carving to Roosevelt during the first months of U.S. involvement in World War II. "

Thanks to rcs.

Merchandising Week 2, Day 5!

Man, how did it take so long to beat the axis?

I guess the fact that they were freakish giants might have helped.

Mussolini was apparently morbidly obese (but only in his neck), Tojo was jaundiced and had to constantly gnaw things to keep his mighty incisors the right size, and Hitler was only being kept alive by a voodoo curse.

I mean, If this battle set is any indication of accurate WWII history. And I think it is.

Another rcs gem from here.

Merchandising Week 2, Day 4!

I sincerely hope this Hitler Smashing Machine DOESN'T catch on:

Okay Hitler...keep those hands up, and step out of the machine...

Like John Henry, I'd be out of a job. But I'd go down swinging! At Hitler!

Olaf discovered this here.

Merchandising Week TWO, Day 3!

I still don't quite understand what a punch board is...

I think I had Hitler's haircut in High School.

But I really want one.

rcs found this one here.

Merchandising Week TWO, Day 2!

Hitler Getting Punched...Board?

I honestly have no idea how this game works, but I'm definitely willing to learn.

You bet!

Thanks to Olaf, who found this here.

Merchandising Week TWO, Day 1!

Aren't you glad I didn't make an Electric Boogaloo joke?

ME NEITHER!

But I do have a Hitler dartboard for you!

It really took this long to get a dartboard up?
That's right, after the rousing success1 of the last Merchandising Week, I thought I'd return once more to the fray. For you!2

Olaf and Ali both gave me this one on separate occasions. I think they both found it here.

God I should have made an Electric Boogaloo joke.3

  1. I define a rousing success as "anything that doesn't get me lynched."
  2. But mostly for me.
  3. Or at least added another superfluous footnote.

Merchandising Week, Day 7!

Hey remember this classic from the Flex days?

Well, it turns out it's part of a larger exhibit:

Yeah, I almost forgot to put one up today. My bad.
This is from an AP Photo found here. The caption reads:

"Anti-Hitler propaganda is seen on display in a new exhibit on World War II at the Lehigh Valley Heritage Museum in Allentown, Pa. , Nov. 7, 2007. The 10,000-square-foot exhibit, which opens to the public on Veterans Day, is organized thematically to cover the homefront, the battlefield, and the war's toll on life and property"

Thanks, rcs.

Merchandising Week, Day 6!

"Got a match?"

"Yeah..."

I'll be honest: this is one Hitler Abuse Scenario that I would never have come up with on my own.
"Hitler's butt and his face!"

Today's text content provided by Mrs. Havisham's 3rd grade class. Today's picture provided by Olaf, who found it here.

Merchandising Week, Day 5!

Some days, I just don't have the energy to punch Hitler. What's a guy like me to do?

If only there were some device that would punch him for me...

I don't even believe in God, but...
...I *still* pray every night that Hitler is getting punched in Hell.

...wow.

Thanks, God!

Also thanks to rcs, who discovered this here.

Merchandising Week, Day 4!

Let's see what the worst pun I can come up with is...

Yeah, like you wouldn't say the same.
"Anti-Hitler merchandising was the lynchpin of our wartime economy."

Yes. That will do.

That will do nicely.

Thanks to Olaf.

Merchandising Week, Day 3!

"Looks like I picked a bad week to quit smoking."

Surgeon General's Warning: Grinding a butt out on Hitler's face may be awesome to your health.
Thanks to rcs, who found this here.

Merchandising Week, Day 2!

Given the tendency of anti-Semitic idiots to talk about the Jews controlling the banking industry, I take extra comfort in the idea of smashing one of these with a hammer.

So, you save up for a war bond, then smash a Hitler-pig? Tell me THIS wasn't what snapped America out of the Depression.
rcs found this reason to save here.

Merchandising Week, Day 1!

If there's one constant about human society: if there is a horrible tragedy, someone will be there to make a quick buck off it. HGP is kicking off a week of those fast-buck-makers, because really: who wouldn't want an anti-Hitler mousepad?

Personally, I would love a Captain America #1 mousepad...hint, hint...

rcs discovered this fine example of capitalism in action at this eBay store. I assume it's based on a period propagansa poster.
