Yeah, yeah. We've seen it.
I added a little color this time.
Oh, in case anyone is curious about the stuff I done drew, I have a tumblr blog that I've been putting up stuff on.

I'm Kind Of Stunned I Never Did This Before
Believe it or not, I've never actually drawn Cap doing what he does best:
The sharp-eyed Bronze Age Cap fan will note that this is based on a panel drawn by Sal Buscema (Gotta give credit where it's due).

Happy Hitler Punching Day!
Y'all didn't think I'd let the Fourth of July go by without giving you some patriotic Hitler-punchery, did you?
Given my track record the last few months, I probably shouldn't blame you.
However, how about some pencils AND inks of Cap doing what he does best courtesy of comicdom's favorite curmudgeon, John Byrne?
The final artwork appeared in Captain America #255. The pencil art was found here, and the final art here.
Thanks to Olaf for the tipoff. Happy Fourth! Celebrate by punching the Hitler of your choice.

RIP, Gene Colan
I just learned that comics legend Gene Colan has passed away. I don't really have much to add in way of tribute that isn't being said more eloquently by others, but the best tribute I have is to show this one again:
You will be missed, Gene

Give Me What I Want To See, Hollywood!
I have yet to see it in the trailer (and I don't have high hopes for it), but this retro poster by Paulo Rivera knows what *I* want from a Captain America movie:
Thanks to Dan Magee for the tip!
EDIT: And sorry about the misspelling there. I'm apparently a lousy proofreader.

A Deleted Scene From True Grit
"I mean to punch you in one minute, Adolf. Or see you hanged in Nuremburg at Judge Parker's convenience. Which'll it be?"
"I call that bold talk for a--"
"OW!"
Olaf made this. You should congratulate him.

Please Hammer, Do...Oh You Know the Drill
I know I promised some Captain America action yesterday, but something came up. Something awesome:
ORIGINAL HITLER PUNCHING ART!
Thanks to Kelly Reardon of Where's M.C. Hammer? for the picture, which I suspect was conceived in some capacity by Forklift over at Hockeenight.

Space Hitler?!?
Not on Captain Mushface's watch.
Man, I love, love, love Cap #1 Tributes.
So...get this: Olaf told me about this one. Weird, huh? He found it here. And you can read more about Captain Mushface here.

Taft Punk is Punching Hipster Hitler Because He is Punk Rock
Pow!
Taft Punk rules. Therefore he is punching his natural arch-nemisis: Hipster Hitler. That is the natural order of things.

Wolfenstein 3D Redux: 19 Strong Years of Killing Hitler Good
Today is the 19th anniversary of the release of Wolfenstein 3D, a game which should be near and dear to the hearts of pretty much anyone who enjoys a good round of abusing Hitler. In celebration of this day, here's a video of a dude taking out Hitler and his minions with nothing but a pistol:

Three Things I Love:
1. Captain America jacking people's jaws.
2. Captain America jacking Hitler's jaw.
And, most importantly:
3. Captain America jacking Hitler's jaw so hard his head pops back like a pez dispenser.
Thanks to Olaf again for the tipoff, and mad props to Massimo Mongiardo for drawing this.

You Know What I'd Like To See
More Captain America Punching Hitler!
You'd think I'd get tired of this sort of thing. But you'd be dead wrong.
Olaf again tipped me off about this one, by Michael Champion, found here.

If You Don't Love Gene Colan
Well then honestly, I don't know what to say to you. Except that you're really missing out, man:
Comics legend Gene Colan drew this on commission, and it can be located here.

Well, (1) I would probably get more pageviews, but more importantly (2), I would have to call it...
Another tip o' the cap to Olaf.
FUCKYEAHCAPTAINAMERICA!
This picture, depicting everything good and right with the world, is a commissioned piece by Ernie Chan, and was found here.

Hey Wonder Woman...
What's your favorite U2 album?
Really? I preferred Boy.
I'm not 100% convinced that this beauty, with art by Phil Jimenez is actually Hitler, but man, it's close enough to make a godawful joke.

I'm Not Gonna Lie: I Did This For Like 5 Minutes Straight...
A while back I got the Wolfenstein RPG for my phone. Throughout the game there are paintings of Hitler on the walls of the castle. So, of course I walked over to one and...well:
...punched the crap out of him.
...punched the crap out of him.
Being a procrastinating devil, I kept swearing I would get a screencap and then not bothering to try. Thankfully, the internet provides.
P.S. - I replaced the broken link on this classic HGP entry that my former contributer/arch-nemesis Flex RUINED SOMEHOW...

The Only Easter Gift I Can Give You
The gift of Hitler Punching!
Oh Cap. You did it first, you did it best.
Cap sells us some war bonds courtesy of Nick Mockoviak. Hat tip to Olaf yet again, for pointing this one out.

Captain America Never Fails To Please
You know, there are times in my life when things are tough, and I lose a little bit of hope. Where I feel like nothing is ever going to go my way, and I start to give up hope.
Then, from out of the blue, Olaf sends me...
ANOTHER PICTURE OF CAP PUNCHING HITLER!
Really puts things into perspective.
This particular piece is by Kevin Leen, and is titled (fittingly enough) "Captain America Punches Hitler." And, get this: if you really love your Friendly Neighborhood Hitler Puncher, you could certainly buy him a signed print for his birthday (June 5th).

Well, I Demanded It...
Oh, are you still here? Good.
Longtime contributor Olaf just tipped me off about this one:
He found it here, which (based on translating software) seems to be a German blog devoted to destroying the myth of Hitler, by showing how he is presented in pop culture. Or something. I should ask Olaf rather than trusting to free online translation software.
Still, it's Hitler getting Disco-sticked. I can't ask for much more than that.

I Don't Quite Understand This
It's something to do with a video game of some sort. However, I am officially too old and out of the loop to truly understand it.
But, hey, I support all sorts of Hitler abuse, even the aftermath:
I found these during a random image search. They were created by someone calling him- (or her-) self "robonator."

I Love a Parade!
Actually, I kind of hate parades. But most of the parades I go to don't have ridiculous Hitler floats.
According to the site where I found this, it's called ‘Afterbirth,’ and depicts Adolf Hitler crapping out a current right wing party.
At any rate, it's pretty humiliating, and therefore a reason to reactive good ol' HGP.

Ask and Ye Shall Receive
Or rather, I wanted more Hitler Punching, asked for it, and got it.
This may be a little High Concept,* but here's a wonderfully drawn 5-second sketch of webcomics juggernaut Kevin Church delivering what I assume to be a right jab to Adolf's noggin', courtesy of Drunk Elephant Comics' very own Max Riffner!
I've never met Mr. Church face-to-face, but I am assured that this is accurate in every detail.
*As if I ever had a problem with that.

HGP Field Trip!
Okay, I know it's been ages since I updated, but I have no excuses or apologies.
A couple of weekends ago, Mrs. HGP and I took a little trip to the Museum of Science and Industry here in Chicago. Now, we mainly came to see the Jim Henson exhibit (awesome), but before we left we took a spin by the U-505 exhibit (also awesome). On the way out, I noticed an old acquaintance...
So, I had to take a potshot:
As did Ali:
We also took pictures of me next to a fake stewpot in a replica galley, and numerous other minutiae, but they weren't as germane to the blog. If you're ever in Chicago, be sure to stop by the museum and take a few swings at Adolf before a docent reports you to security!
